Cruising along Interstate 5 north of Redding in Northern California, you can catch a glimpse of these incredible rock formations to the west from the highway in Castle Crags State Park.

Located near the towns of Dunsmuir and Castella, take exit 724 to stop at the state park. Enjoy a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike and catch some amazing views of these granite giants.

Head up to the park’s Vista Point parking area for amazing views of Castle Crags and nearby 14,000-foot Mount Shasta.

Camping is available year-round.
